My new experience in OpenMRS…..

I used to contribute to certain open organizations like SEF as a second-year undergraduate student. To take things a step further, I decided to join OpenMRS, a well-known open-source healthcare project.

I had only worked with the local open source community before, but this was a great opportunity to interact with the international open-source community. First I needed to make an introduction to the OpenMRS community. So I post an introduction in their welcome thread. After that, I had to fill out some forms in order to have access to the OpenMRs Jira, where the tickets are published. I was finally able to gain access to Jira. I selected a ticket, assigned it to myself, and began working on it. I’m currently working on it. I’m looking forward to wrapping this up soon…
