A new experience with web designing…

Recently I was assigned to design a new website for the SEF Development team to showcase their projects, blogs, knowledge sharing sessions, and some other things about them. This was a new experience for me, I haven't done these kinds of designing things before. The plan was to use the Github primer designing system for this project, at the moment I didn't even have an idea about the GitHub primer. I had to do a little research about the GitHub primer to get to know about it so, I went through their documentation for that and I learned many new things.

The first step of the plan was to create a Figma design first. After creating a new Figma for this project I had to add the primer design components to the Figma design before using them for the design for that I had a little help from Jayasanka Weerasinghe 😁 to add the components to the Figma design.

Next, I was instructed to break the task into parts and develop them separately. Once after finalizing the design of a section, while the developers work on that I could spend the time on designing another section. Breaking problems into parts is always a good way of solving them so it was a good strategy I learned while I'm working on this project.

Still, the designing part is not over I'm working on the first section and looking forward to working on the other sections as well 😇 .
